Robinwood 2016 – Day 2

It’s been another jam packed and exciting day at Robinwood. We haven’t stopped since 7 o’clock this when we were woke up. Today we have taken part in the ‘Dungeon of Doom’, crate challenge, night line, the deadly piranha pool, climbing, alien conspiracy and Team Games.

Kerragan showed great surfing skills along the surface of the piranha pool.

In the evening, the children were joined by lots of teachers from school for more fun in team games. The games became extremely competitive and despite the teachers best efforts to win the games, they were disqualified and the children were the delighted winners.

Robinwood 2016 – Day 1

What a brilliant day we are having so far! As soon as we arrived at Robinwood, we were greeted by our crazy leaders – Suzie, Jenny, Nicky and Faye. Within 5 minutes of being here, we were given our first task. We had to take our bags up to our rooms and make our own beds! By the looks of the beds, this was a first for most children.

Once our beds had been made, we had a quick bite to eat and we were ready for our first activity. Team Crag began their day with some archery. Team Mountain  and Team Ridges first activity was bouldering. The children had to complete a gruelling trek to get to the top of the hill where they found the huge boulders at Orchan Rock.

When we eventually reached the boulders, the children had to use all their flexibility and show great courage to squeeze through some tiny gaps in between the boulders. Every child gave it their best go, despite some nervous faces as seen below.

After bouldering, Team Ridge went on the night line. The children were all blind folded and had to tackle a variety of obstacles while avoiding the dreaded Robinwood squirrels who are always looking for somewhere to wee.
